Join us for our informative and interactive small business educational session! Our guest speaker this month is Dr. Lee Warren from Belmont University. She will speak to us about "Negotiations in the Workplace". This session introduces the Getting to Yes method developed at Harvard and used by the US Diplomatic Corps, among others. Learn how to:
- Negotiate contracts; days off; etc
- Body language; handshakes
- Where to sit at the boardroom table
Dr. Lee Warren, Professor of Accounting, teaches undergraduate and graduate Accounting and Management courses in the Jack C. Massey College of Business at Belmont University. After receiving her B. A. from Randolph-Macon Woman’s College and her M. B. A from Vanderbilt’s Owen Graduate School of Management, Dr. Warren held several domestic and international positions at Cummins Engine Company. She then entered the financial services industry, serving as CFO and consultant for BMR Financial Group in Atlanta, Georgia.
Dr. Warren received the Bea Sanders AICPA Award from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants for the Most Innovative Accounting Course in the Introductory Sequence – Honorable Mention in 2007. She has received the student-chosen Most Inspirational Professor Award from the Massey Graduate students in multiple years. Her research has been published in numerous journals including the Journal of Teaching in International Business and Issues in Accounting Education.
