Kehde directed by James Bealor and produced by Russette Sloan.Auditions will be held Sunday\, October 19 and Monday\, October 20 from 6:30-8:30 pm at the theatre located at 6978 Lebanon Rd\, Mt Juliet (1/4 mi West of Hwy 109) Performance dates are weekends December 5-20\, 2014Roles available for 4 adult males ages 30's to 60+5 females ages 25 - mid-50's including 2 children ages      9-12Extras: townspeople & minersFor more detailed character description see our website www.encore-theatre-company.org/AuditionsNo      appointment necessary.Resume      and head shot welcome\, but not required.Auditions      will consist of cold readings from the script.Synopsis:It's winter in a poor coal mining town in the early 1900s. When a foundling baby girl appears on the doorsteps of the company store\, Annie\, the possessive wife of the proprietor\, takes a shine to her. But Arly\, who works at the store and makes Christmas presents for all the kids in town\, learns that Francine is the real mother. Francine loves the baby\, but is too poor to raise her with her other daughter. A cave-in at the mine sows tragedy among the miners and their families and complicates matters further. Francine\, who has lost her husband in the disaster\, has to leave town\, but she desperately wants to hold her baby once more. On Christmas Eve\, Arly engineers a pageant at the store with Francine as Mary\, fulfilling her Christmas wish. Annie recognizes Francine as the birth mother and tells her to come and visit the child any time. This profound\, beautiful story goes to the heart of what Christmas is all about\, generosity of spirit and redemption through love.
