DESCRIPTION:Join us for our monthly Connection Luncheon! \n\n\n\nOur speaker this month is Jeff Luttrell\, Director of Wilson County Schools speaking on the\n\nState of Education\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMr. Luttrell began his 31+-year career in education in Trousdale County\, prior to coming to Wilson County in 2000 as a teacher and coach at Watertown High School. He became principal at Watertown High School in 2007 and served in that role until 2019 when he accepted the position of Human Resources Supervisor for Wilson County Schools.\n\n\n\nThe Wilson County Board of Education selected Mr. Luttrell as the new Director of Schools as of July 1\, 2021.\n\n\n\nDuring his time at Watertown High School\, the school received numerous scholastic honors and state awards. Through his leadership\, Watertown High School saw significant increases in graduation rates and ACT scores.  \n\n\n\nMr. Luttrell was named 2019 Middle Tennessee Principal of the Year by the Tennessee Association of Secondary Principals.  Most recently\, he was named 2023 Superintendent of the Year by the Professional Educators of Tennessee. Mr. Luttrell holds multiple higher education degrees and certifications.\n\n\n\nAmid the pandemic and the loss of two schools to the March 2020 tornadoes\, Wilson County Schools continued to exceed the State average in graduation rate\, and ACT score for the 2021-2022 school year.  In addition\, eight schools received Reward School status for the 2022-2023 school year.\n\n\n\nJeff and his wife\, Tiffany enjoy spending time with their family and working on their farm in Watertown\, Tennessee. \n\n\n\nSeating is limited - we ask that you RSVP in advance so we can monitor space requirements.\n\n \n\n*The program\, speaker\, menu\, and other changes may occur due to unexpected circumstances with or without advance notice. We very much appreciate your understanding and continued support. Reservations made after the Friday prior to the luncheon will incur a late charge for both members and non-members. Reservations are non-refundable when canceled after the Friday prior to the luncheon. Member credits may be used for late registration\, but lunch tickets cannot. Feel free to contact the Chamber if you have any questions.\n\n\n\nPLEASE NOTE: If WCS are closed due to inclement weather\, programs starting prior to 11:00 AM will be cancelled.
