TRUE RESCUE ANNOUNCES “I’LL BE HOME FUR CHRISTMAS” HOLIDAY OPEN HOUSE FUNDRAISER An evening of Adoptions, Food, Drinks, Live Music, Santa, Shopping, Tours and Festivities on 12/3/23 True Rescue is proud host a very special fundraising event on December 3, 2023 from 6pm-9pm at their animal shelter located at 12110 Lebanon Road in Mount Juliet. The 1st annual “I’ll Be Home Fur Christmas” Holiday Open House will include food and drink stations, live music, shopping of the retail and silent auction items, tours of the newly renovated 7,000 sq. ft. facility, visits with Santa, plus adoption opportunities for the 430 cats, kittens, dogs and puppies in their care. The goal is to place as many as possible into their forever homes in time for the holidays. Established in May 2020, True Rescue has grown from a small location in Lebanon, TN housing 60 animals to a 7,000 square foot facility in Mount Juliet with 15 rooms housing 430 residents in a communal setting that reflects the heart and soul of the rescue. With no city, county, state or federal funding, True Rescue relies on contributions, fundraisers and adoptions to raise funds for the critical care of the animals needing a second chance at life. Funds raised at “I’ll Be Home Fur Christmas” will enable them to continue to provide help to the animals that need it most. Executive Director, Amy Simcik says “Our main goal is adopting of our animals to bring into a home for the holidays. Besides being our holiday open house, this will be our largest adoption event of the year, which is why we named the event "I'LL BE HOME FUR CHRISTMAS". That's what we want for the animals under our care right now. We are so excited to be able to showcase our new building renovations and retail space, and the cats are just purring with excitement over here at the thought of all of the people coming to love on them!” True Rescue has a 501(c)(3) IRS tax-exempt status, Federal EIN #84-5161581. Mission Statement: We are here to right the wrongs that we as a society have committed on our animals. As we share this Earth with these amazing creatures, so should we be bound to take care of them. We are here to be their voice, and to provide safe hands, food, and shelter. We will be their soft place to fall, and their strong arm to be lifted back up.
