Elle Benson’s happiness research is deeply personal and highly practical, rooted in her own exploration of over 900 unique experiences designed to intentionally boost joy, connection, and well-being. Through this journey, she developed and now leads Happiness Labs—immersive gatherings where participants try science-backed interventions in real time. To date, more than 750 people have participated in these labs, gaining hands-on tools to reframe their thoughts, strengthen relationships, and spark lasting happiness. In partnership with Belmont University, Elle is studying the outcomes of these interventions to understand how intentional behaviors can measurably improve well-being at the individual and community level. Her work brings the science of happiness to life through real-world application and joyful experimentation.
