Leading Women Workshop
Join us for our Leading Women Workshop facilitated by Whitney Simpson with Bloom Yoga Studio!
Do you feel overwhelmed by the buzz words mindfulness and meditation? Do you think you must escape to a far away place of solitude to discover meditation tools? Did you know that mindfulness and meditation are ancient tools each of us can begin incorporating in our daily lives? No matter how busy your life is in this season, join us as we explore ways to be more present, aware, and engaged in daily living.
Twelve years ago, Whitney had a stroke and brain surgery. She had a demanding career and an 18-month old child and her life was turned upside down in a moment. Anxiety and depression surfaced and soon her support system suggested meditation tools as part of her recovery plan. As skeptical as she was, Whitney is now a teach of mindfulness and meditation. She is a trained yoga instructor and spiritual director in the Christian tradition.
Without intimidation or gimmicks, Whitney invites you to simply use your very own breath and body to begin a mindfulness and meditation practice. In this workshop, you will explore everyday tools you can begin to incorporate in your life. No experience necessary and no special clothes are needed. Dress comfortably or arrive in your work clothes. We hope you'll join us for this hands-on workshop and begin embracing mindfulness and meditation in your own life!
