QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS • High School Diploma or GED is required. • Must speak and read English. Previous complex assembly experience is preferred. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES This position is responsible for the effective utilization of materials, equipment, and systems in the assembly of moderately complex to very complex electro-mechanical products. This position customizes and installs Custom Bus into the Switchboard cabinetry. • Read and understand moderately complex to very complex schematics/blueprints, wiring diagrams, bill of materials, and schematics. • Assemble medium sized to large parts. • Utilizes a wide variety of hand tools, air tools, and measuring equipment. • Performs entire custom Bus operation of one job from start to finish. • Utilizes computer system for clocking start and finish of job. • Responsible for own product quality and check, proper measuring techniques, and tool use and care. • Quarantines non-conforming products according to standards and determines the disposition of the product in question. • Evaluates and performs basic troubleshooting, and obtains support from supervision, and engineering as needed. Will enter Andon’s in the LDS (Lean Digitization System) as required. • May periodically provide input to supervision, engineering, and quality groups relative to product improvement. • Establishes and maintains a safe and healthy working environment in accordance with OHSA requirements. • Maintains all certifications required by group(s) and completes all required training. • Daily 5S is a requirement. • Performs other tasks as may be required (and often in other groups). ADDITIONAL NOTES • The department requires PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), plus Safety shoes and safety glasses must be worn on the production floor. • Work is performed in a Manufacturing Environment. The job will be performed standing and/or squatting. Requires ability to reach overhead, pull, push, and climb a ladder to perform work. • Ability to lift 26 pounds occasionally or 22 pounds repetitively.
