TrueCount Services Alerts Local Businesses to QuickBooks Online Price Increases

MT JULIET, Tenn. — August 3, 2026 — TrueCount Services is alerting local small business owners to new QuickBooks Online subscription prices that took effect beginning August 1, 2026.

According to Intuit, the monthly list prices for three QuickBooks Online plans have increased:

• QuickBooks Online Essentials increased from $75 to $85 per month.

• QuickBooks Online Plus increased from $115 to $140 per month.

• QuickBooks Online Advanced increased from $275 to $340 per month.

Prices for QuickBooks Online Simple Start, Ledger, Lite and Free remain unchanged. Affected existing subscribers will generally see the new price on their next applicable billing date, although promotional pricing and new-customer price protection may delay the increase for some accounts.

The price changes mean an additional $120 per year for Essentials, $300 per year for Plus, and $780 per year for Advanced subscribers paying the standard monthly list price.

“Now is a good time for business owners to think about more than just the price increase and consider if their current QuickBooks plan still matches how their business runs,” said Danielle Williams, owner of TrueCount Services and a Certified QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor. “The goal isn’t just to pick the cheapest plan. It’s to avoid paying for features you don’t use, while making sure you still have the tools your bookkeeping needs.”

Features such as bill management, inventory tracking, class and location reporting, user access, approval workflows, and advanced reporting vary by plan. A business may also be paying separately for software that duplicates a feature already included in its QuickBooks subscription.

Businesses should review their plan carefully before downgrading. Changing plans without considering existing reporting, inventory, payroll, and software integrations could disrupt important bookkeeping workflows.

TrueCount Services can review a business’s current QuickBooks setup, the features it actively uses, and whether another subscription level may be a better fit. Business owners interested in discussing their QuickBooks account can contact Danielle Williams at (888) 463-4828 or info@truecountservices.com.
